Get on board!
Get on that train
You know it’s time to get on board
Even though it looks to be a bumpy ride
You’re bound to gain
This journey is its own reward
And you can’t judge a road you haven’t tried

When I started on this journey
I tried to grow up fast
I couldn’t wait to celebrate
My legal age at last
But lately I’ve been noticin’
The years are speedin’ on
Might’s well decide to love the ride
Before the ride is gone

Get on board! Get on board!
Get on that train
And hope it’s got an engineer
Cause you don’t know where the journey’s gonna end
It’s pretty plain
No matter where you go from here
You can dare it if you share it with a friend

Well, sometimes I was fakin’ it
To keep from lookin’ back
But hope and faith and optimism
Kept me on the track
A sense of humor when the ride
Was rougher than I planned
And all these fellow-travelers
To reach and lend a hand

Get on that train
Tell your story, tell your truth
Get a move on to improve your self-esteem
It’s just the same
No matter what our age or youth
Cause this train is movin’ faster than it seems
And we’ve got to get on board to reach our dreams
