For a kid with a big imagination
Life on a ranch was great
Cities to carve in the riverbank
Movie sets to recreate
Imagination got me through
Always kept me company
Helped me change any place I was
To a more exciting place to be

When I saw a train sitting at the station
I saw myself on board
Rolling across the countryside
Territories unexplored
Imagination was always there
Filling my mind with what might be
Letting me travel everywhere
Letting me live in possibility

Now I think of how my life turned out
I got to do what I dreamed about

When a door was opened, I went through
Found some amazing places
Exotic towns on foreign shores
Unfamiliar faces
Imagination was by my side
To help me through every passing year
Connects me still to the world outside
And brings the world right in here
