Jim Kissman moved to Eugene from Los Angeles in July 2003, after retiring in 1993 from a 52-year career in broadcasting. The last 25 years of that time he was with CBS Radio in L.A. as a senior account executive.

Before starting his career, Jim graduated from Kent State University and then served in the U.S. Navy.

He and his wife Janet have been married for seven years; between them they have two children and six grandchildren.

Since his arrival in Eugene, Jim has become involved in many local activities: Very Little Theatre, Eugene Symphony and Opera, Willamette Repertory Theatre, Duck football, the UO School of Music . . . and now Encore!
