Pat
Flake grew up in California and later Hawaii, where she graduated
from high school and returns every year to visit old friends.
Her
late husband was in the Air Force, and Pat was active in
the Junior League and as a school and church volunteer.
After
moving to Eugene 30 years ago, she began trying things she
hadn’t
done before, including driving trucks for Tom’s
and selling teriyaki meat sticks at Saturday Market.
She
likes to play bridge and collect antiques and linens.
She has always liked dancing, singing, laughing,
and being with people who enjoy life, but found herself
losing touch with those aspects of her life. Then she heard
about Encore, saw a show, and felt uplifted and eager
to be part of such a group. She reports that she’s
already a happier person! |
