I taught music after graduating from Kent State University in Ohio. While raising my two boys, I taught special education in New York state. Those were difficult but rewarding years for me. John and I have lived many places in California, enjoying each one through volunteering, taking classes and traveling.

My involvement in music has been continual, with choirs, solo work, and community orchestras. Encore is now an opportunity to use my music and teaching experience in a very meaningful way to connect with children. I'm grateful for the chance to be a part of Eliza's and Lydia's dream.
