Doug was born in Canada, and moved often during childhood as his family tried to make ends meet. He attended Mt. Angel Seminary, got degrees in philosophy and education, and then went into retail! His career took him from Eugene to Houston, with much national and overseas travel. Since leaving retail, he has worked in planning and promotion for many businesses and corporations.

His theatre experience includes acting, producing, directing, and voice-over work. Eugene audiences of a certain age will remember him as Professor Henry Higgins in the Lane County Auditorium Association’s 1964 production of “My Fair Lady.” He’s happy, and we’re delighted, that he’s joined the Encore family.
