I am a veteran of the Korean War. The benefit of that military service included coming out fluent in Russian from my training in the Defense Language Institute, and in German from being stationed in Germany for two years. I spent my whole career life as a teacher of English and those other two foreign languages.

Music and theatre have been really important for my sanity and emotional well-being. I love teaching and working with people (young people especially). Encore allows me to communicate with kids in a new way.
