I have been married since 1979 and have one daughter. Prior to joining Encore Theatre, I was a psychotherapist and served as the Team Leader at the Eugene Vietnam Vet Center. Before that I was a therapist on a U. S. Naval base in Rota, Spain and the Clinical Director at a private psychiatric hospital in California.

Since retiring in 1994, I've been a volunteer with United Way, was on a Citizen Review Board for families with children in foster placement and have volunteered with several other local agencies.

I studied acting in Los Angeles and appeared in several plays. I've sung four-part harmony with the award-winning Eugene Cascade Chorus.

I was the volunteer Mental Health Coordinator for the American Red Cross after the Thurston High School shooting. That experience showed me I wanted to be more involved in positive, pro-active, violence prevention programs for teenagers. After seeing an Encore Theatre performance, I knew that would be a perfect match for me—and it has been that and more!
