I grew up in Virginia, with dance and theatre as a big part of my life. In New York City I was able to pursue those interests at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre, studying method acting with Sanford Meisner and dance with Martha Graham. I met my husband when I went to Europe as an actress with Army Special Service.

Theatre was put aside while I raised a family and enjoyed being a faculty wife in Colorado. After my divorce, theatre came back into my life. For the next 22 years I lived in Hawaii, teaching workshops using theatre games, and training groups in Playback Theatre.

I gave up Hawaii to be closer to my family. Then Encore drew me back to Eugene!
