Letters From High School Students

About Encore Theatre

Dear Encore Theatre Group

Thank-you so much for coming . I really enjoyed the show and could relate to alot of things you talked about. I also enjoyed the singing and dancing. I think alot of kids are hurting out there in the world. Just by you guys coming in there and putting on a smile helped some of the students day. It really make me happy and smile. When I had a problem I did not understand it. I thought that I was the only one that had that problem. I know now that everyone has problems, no one is perfect. I really enjoyed all of you, but there was one in particular I could really relate to. The lady that wanted to be an animal doctor and could not. She actually became a teacher. The reason why I can relate to that is because I have been excluded from things because I was a girl. I think that either man or women you should be able to do what you would like. Again I want to thank you. I really enjoyed it.

i enjoyed the production for many reasons and it was definitly worth my time. For the first time i think that an older generation does have idea of teens today. i never realized there was such a connection between teens and old people, i always thought we were completely different. thank you for the awakening and please continue this production.

It was awsome to see these people so full of energy. I was especiaty entreaged by the stories they had told us of their lives. This gave me a little more hope, because I’m not doing well in school (grades), and it reminded me that even though I’d messed up in the beggining I could still finish strong.

I really enjoyed your show. At your age you seem to have even more vitality than people half your age. You guys all sent a great message to the audience that we are who we are and should be happy about it. I really commend your acheivements, keep up the great work. I also hope that you can visit our school again sometime in the near future.

I think the show was excellent and it takes courage to perform in front of hundreds of cynical teenagers.

I love watching the performance I even watched it twice. I couldn’t believe how much energy these people had. They had more energy than me and I’m younger than them. The gay guy was amazing the way he could just tell people he’s gay and not care about what everyone else thinks. The one guy that was beat by his father had me almost in tears even the second time I watched it. I’m sure glad he got out of that house. He doesn’t need to put up with it at all. Each and every one on the Encore performers had their own personallity that brought the attention to them. That was an incredible performance and the second time I sat in the front row and totally zoned out everything else going on in the room and in by life. I hope to see Encore Theater again soon. It’s been fun!!
